So comfortable…

In between playing chasing’s and smelling every weed on our daily walks (pee-mail) I often chat to my 4 legged friends about their social life, where they go, who they meet, what kind of reception they encounter, any treats, comparing food begging techniques…I know bad form but then Mums a push over!

Annnywayyyy…one thing I have noticed is most of my mates don’t like travelling in cars as much as I do. What, are you kidding?? I cant understand why you wouldn’t like travelling from one distance to another without having to work at it? Seriously I just like to hang back in my car bed (attached of course to the bloody seat belt…yuk) and fall asleep…instant dreamlike state. Anyway I heard Mum telling someone what I look like when I’m non compos and she bloody well took a pic… honestly is that all I’m here for…to amuse everyone!

Hot weekends

Mum and I were fortunate to be asked away to a friends house at Whale Beach over the weekend. I’m thinking ‘cool’ Sydney’s summer is serving up a hot one I’m sooo there! Beach runs, ball games…

Now is it just me…but every time I think I want to get wet I choke at the last minute (Mum calls me Billie Norman). Yes I’m hot, panting and in dire need to cool down but I hate getting my silky locks wet!

Let face it…it can take hours to look this gorgeous and one quick dip just ruins everything. So I’ll find a cool stone floor and a breezy hallway and that’s how I plan to do summer!

Tamarama Beach with Lifeguards

So there we were, Mum and I were asked to pop down to the Tamarama lifesaver lookout to meet the two boys who publish The Beast.
James and Dan Hutton…yes, almost related :) Anyway no surprise I hate being on a leash and resist at every opportunity. So while Mum is being photographed for the December issue talking about the planned reno of the club, I’m throwing myself unguarded at all the tourists visiting Sculpture by the Sea. After about 15 mins the life guards decide enough is enough, they can’t have dogs running on the beach…house rules (whatever!)
So I hear Mum challange them to catch me…well I love playing ‘chasings’ (who wouldn’t take on a burly life saver)…and after 10 mins of giving him a run for his money I felt sorry for the poor lad and allowed myself to be caught…much to the amusement of the gathering crowd.
Just think these guys put their life on the line to save others but they couldn’t catch ME…lol :)

Billie’s Social Sunday

So here I was minding my own business on Sunday after a big breakfast of chicken mince when I glanced through The Sun-Herald, and discovered I’m not quite the “page 3″ girl, but very close. I had no idea when mum agreed to get a pic done that I could look so good! Yes, she may have had me at the hairdressers that morning and perhaps gave me a quick brush before the photographer arrived…but I was pleasantly surprised at how good I come up in print. Mum thinks my ego is getting a little out of hand, but when you look this good, why not suck it for all it’s worth : )

Billie's First Blog

So Billie and I get invited to enjoy a sunny afternoon at the Gazebo Wine Garden “Lizzy Bay Dog Show” recently. There were three different categories to enter; Best Dressed; Best trick and Best look-a-like”. Billie and I discussed it and felt we might have a soft chance at BEST DRESSED. So hot tub, hair dryers and best birthday outfit on (Billie not me) we stepped out with an air of anticipation.

And what a funny afternoon…
Cleverest trick: A Black Staffie with a dog treat rested on the tip of his nose and doing absolutely nothing about it.
Best look alike: A West Highland Terrier with her owner both channelling Cameron Diaz and the hair-lift from ‘Something abot Mary” and

Best Dressed: Well after seeing the Chihuahua dressed in top to toe Carmen Miranda I thought we were done and dusted till the winner was announced…MY BILLIE!!! She was wearing a Surf Rescue outfit she got for her first birthday last year, complete with red and yellow cap. Don’t know if she could save many lives but she saved mine :)
